During President's Weekend from February 12-14, 2010 Chamah arranged a Shabbaton Weekend Retreat, "A Weekend to Remember".
The Shabbaton which was for the Russian Jewish community, was held at the Stamford Hilton Hotel, in Stamford, Connecticut. Approximately 650 people attended and it was indeed a "Weekend to Remember".
Over 100 children from ages 5-12 attended. A special youth program was organized for them as well as a special babysitting program so the parents can relax and enjoy.
Guests came from Brooklyn, Manhattan, and New Jersey, there was a large presence from Massachusetts, Connecticut and even as distant as Los Angeles and Seattle, Washington.
We were pleased to have the famous radio/TV commentator Ari Kagan, and Boris Tenzer, who is also a TV host on RTN- TV. Ari Kagan encouraged the Jewish people to fight anti-Semitism and justice.
Guest speakers included Rabbi David Karpov from Moscow, Mrs. Esther Segal, TV host and producer from Israel, and Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, a speaker who greatly inspired the whole audience.
