Zhenya has cerebral palsy can hardly walk and is wheelchair bound. Even from a young age, the boy couldn’t be among children as no kindergarten provided him with the special conditions he needs. His grandfather, veteran of the Second World War, brought him to Gan Chamah.

Valeria lives with her 85-year old grandmother and mother who is handicapped. She was a healthy girl learning well, excelling in sports, drawing and music. Unfortunately in year 2011 she became ill with lymphatic cancer, suffering very much. She undergoes intense chemotherapy at the oncology ward. Since this makes Valeria very weak Chamah designed for her a home schooling program.

Sacha’s epilepsy occured as the result of a complicated birth as she had hypoxia with hemorrhaging in the front temporal area of her brain. Sasha was six years of age when her first convulsions happened.

When Alex was 3 years old, his father died. In a year there appeared a new diagnosis: Alex has got epilepsy. The intense medications which Alex had received during these years, provoked neurology delay.

The boy has a severe disease - Ehlers-Danlos' [cutis hyperelastica] syndrome. It is a heavy genetic disease. He can’t stay or sit for more than half an hour. It is even a problem to go out. Gan Chamah developed a special schedule of study for him including Math, Russian, Literature, Hebrew, Tradition and computer studies

Nikita suffers from junior diabetes and is insulin dependent.

You can see straight away that Anya is an ill and suffering child. She was born with a defective heart and is oxygen dependant. Anya is weak and has many limitations. She is eager to learn and Chamah devised for her an individualized program including various therapies such as gym and art. Chamah assists the family with obtaining medications.

Andrei is an only child to divorced parents. He lives with his mother and grandmother. Andrei learns at the Chamah School but he cannot adapt with his peers. Andrei is very intelligent however he suffers from ADHD – Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder resulting in impulsive and aggressive behavior. Andrei has tantrums and runs from class. Chamah developed an individualized program including various therapies such as art, and calming massages.
